Details:
We have rented the owner’s suite for the evening. The suites sit above the regular seating and provide 21 seats with a spectacular view of the field. In addition to the outdoor seats, the actual suite, aka, room is air conditioned for our comfort. It also has a feed from the game via radio with adjustable sound levels. There are several tables and chairs inside as well as a cable-fed television. There is a small refrigerator to keep things cool.
We have preordered ‘traditional ballpark’ food, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken fingers. There is also a special menu for the suites along with kitchen-to-suite delivery service. No standing in line.
Here are a couple of FAQs to get started:
Where do I park? There are 400 free spaces around the stadium within ¼ mile walk. There are also smaller ‘for profit’ lots scattered around the stadium on Pendleton and Augusta streets. Very close lots are around $10 and a little further away, $5. These are generally cash only. There are also competing venues with parking, such as the Children’s Theatre. They are not showing any productions that night, so they often have paid parking.
I don’t walk so well, what can I do? I am not sure what the drop off is currently. In the past, there was a drop off right next to the suite entrance (Field Street), but that is shut off during games for the family park. On Markley St, there was a drop off that requires walking down Markley and turning on Field St. to the Suite Entrance. I will further investigate.
Stairs give me a problem, what’s the solution. When the stadium was built, they installed an elevator from the Field Street entrance that has stops on the Pavilion level and the Suites level. How’s that for service?
Fireworks, huh? Yup, every Friday home game (of course it would be ridiculous if there were no game), with the final “out” the fireworks show begins. From the suite, you will have the best view in the house!
Besides baseball, what else is there at the stadium? There is a small children’s playground by left field. The Team Store is also at the corner of Main and Markley. As you would expect, a bit expensive, but they carry some low cost souvenirs as well.
Can I bring my own food? Generally, no, unless it is for a specialty diet or kids food. Any food or drink should be ordered via our attendant and not brought up from downstairs. Prices are generally the same, but the hot dogs and hamburgers are a step up from the concourse vendors.
How much? For the most part, nothing other than your parking. The Suite, tickets and pre-order food is covered by EUCC. We won’t be providing any adult beverages, but would appreciate reimbursement.
